“Beautiful Disaster”

Created by local artist, Carol Burns, this 12” X 12” piece of art can be yours! Carol Burns found her love of art and creating later in life.  After working for the same company for 20 years, she had an opportunity to take a year off and find out what made her soul happy.  She did some writing, some painting, some sketching and found herself gravitating towards the mixed media arts. 

“I love making any kind of art that makes people laugh or cry, that evokes genuine emotion.  This piece is actually a work of love for my daughter who struggles with anxiety and depression and I loved how it represented both her positive and negative aspects. I've struggled with anxiety myself for years and have found much self soothing in art.  The more at peace I am with myself, the more creative I become.”  - Carol Burns
